Did them a favor? They sold out Wembley faster than U2 ever did. 2 nights in a row. I am the same age as you and I love them. One of the best new bands in years. Guess you have to listen to their whole catalog. U2 is not what they used to be. Muse in the last few years has sold out stadiums all over the world.

Yep you are old and you SHOULD stick to listening to U2 - Muse is for the younger generation and they wipe the floor with any band today IMO ;-)

Matt bellamy is the most talented musician out there today. Amazing guitar skills. classical piano skills, songwriting skills (he holds all the credits) and that amzing singing voice and insane falsetto. Plus the fact that they are the best live band on the circuit and continue to push boundaries that U2 could never, they will always be a pop band (even though i do love them). Just listen (really LISTEN) to Origin Of Symmetry and appreciate the genius of a then 22 year old

U2 has a very nice reputation amongs bands, besides, matt bellamy has said that they are fans of U2.

But cmon, U2 are the typical band of the "intro, verse, 2nd verse, chours, 3rd verse, chorus, outro"

they had been the same for years, they had been stuck in the creativity of their songs.

I was at the show also, in the red zone next to the stage. I am 43 (yes I know I am old) and I had never heard of MUSE. I was impressed with the sound they had, but could only handle the half an hour they played to be honest. I dont understand the hype, but what do I know. I have seen apprx 500 shows, and seriously U@ did them a favor by bringing them on to open thier shows. U2 by far is superior. I do however appreciate the sound and energy of MUSE...they were good.
