It seems like she understands more than they think she does.. Like the part with the bottle, she wouldn't give it to the baby because a) The baby isn't real and b) the bottle was empty. It seemed like she was saying "Why should I give the baby this? She's not going to enjoy it... Let me try... Hey! This is empty!"

I wish they would let her be more in nature than keeping her locked up all the time. I mean it's magnificent work and it really its extraordinary but I feel it isn't fair on Koko being trapped in our man made places. She should be in the tree's, even if inside the facility's.
