Cones at Lincoln Creek

That is NOT my cart squeaking in the beginning! LOL

Kody's just learning that his job in cones is speed as well as accuracy. He's beginning to get the idea (witness him galloping 10-11-12 all on his own), but sprinting is a new thing for him which is why I was encouraging him so strongly at the finish. I'm proud to say he dropped right down into a calm trot at my request a few strides after the outgate, evidence of the business-like attitude I spent all winter training for. We still have rough moments though, like where he refused to trot on through 13 and 14 for some reason. Silly horse.

Many people had knocked down 13 by not going deep enough into the corner, that's why my videographer mutters "Yes!" as we go through. We almost had a double clean round (no time penalties, no balls down) but not quite. Next time!
