During our trip to East & South Africa we stopped in Kampala, Uganda for a few days. A few people had suggested that we try white-water rafting. We did and man was it fun! We spent a full day on White Nile rafting for about 30km (18 mi) from Adrift base near Jinja. It was really thrilling, the rapids were just incredible and our guide Tutu kept us entertained :)
All in all one of the best experiences in Africa! If you have a chance to do it, don't hesitate. Cost us $125 per person with Adrift which feels like a steal now :) (I expected more anyway.)
This is the actual video of our rafting, you can see me an my fiancée in the raft with the African guide - I had pink helmet (lovely :D) and was a bowman and Monika in a yellow helmet was sitting behind me. You can see her perform a stunt in one of the rapids - she was the only one left in the raft after it nearly tipped over :)
