I still remember seeing "Blue Velvet" in the cinemas back in 1986, watching people walk out of the theatre in disgust, but finding myself completely engrossed and overwhelmed by the experience...Only GREAT filmmakers have this effect on people who see their work....and David Lynch is most definitely that.
