Completely Superb. A really different take on it compared to the CD recording (which is beautiful) and I thought it was just captivating. This is what acting through song is, many people could learn from him. Wonderful x

I LOVE his acting, but from the musician's stand point, more attention needs to be paid to this song. His acting is BRILLIANT, do not get me wrong, but this is THE SINGLE MOST BEAUTIFUL musical theatre style song I have EVER sung.
His voice is beautiful, he should just sing more of it rather than act.
Again, that's from a musical stand point. Brilliant acting. My heart goes out to him everytime I sing it.
Wonderful choice for ANY cabaret. :)

If you can't do anything more than regurgitate Simon Cowell critiques at least get it right....it's SELF indulgent, and this performance and Marty are anything BUT. Until you are grammy nominated and have the accolades and background he does then try and keep quiet and leave critique to the people who know a gifted vocalist when they see one. If you can do better, let us all see. Put up or shut up.

Okay, a lot of people are talking about his self indulgence. But think of it like this: It's a character choice. And know what? I like it. My only comment is that I can't understand what he's saying in the beginning of the song. Otherwise he delivers this song beautifully.

I agree with you and adrian2thelewis. He makes me not care about his problem because his self-indulgence is annoying. Anderson Davis does the best version of this song.

I think that this is just incredible and I still cry after listening to it. Marty Thomas delivered this just incredibly. I've never even been in love and I feel like my heart was ripped in two.
