Video of the yard of a Russian civilian factory for construction products in Lyubertsy, outside of Moscow, in December 1992. Quite a contrast with the military plant, in both the tidiness of the plant and the quality of the production. Includes (in this order) a) diesel pile hammers with 2500 kg ram, b) VPM-170 vibratory hammer, at one time the largest of its kind in the world, c) impact-vibration sheet pile extractor and d) VU-1.6 vibratory hammer, specifically designed to drive hollow cylinder piles and allow plug removal during driving. A very comprehensive tour of Soviet pile driving technology, some of which never was exported outside of the old "Iron Curtain" countries.
Suprising that this video was tooken in 1992! Amazingly good quality.
