As Brazil's second largest trading partner, the United States shares an expanding but complicated relationship with this country, cooperating on issues like counternarcotics, terrorism and energy security, among others. However, questions remain regarding the foreign policy of the newly elected president, Dilma Rousseff, and her administration. Is Brazil a strong partner for the U.S.?
Brazil should pursue a policy that seeks to benefit Brazil only. I would like to see Brazil develop more manufacturing capacity especially within the automobile sector. Too much money is leaving the country going back to Europe. This should be stopped.
