@Fuliginosus That bit is almost identical to the beginning of Beethoven's Third Symphony. What a fantastic coincidence!

@camilocuesta The two bits you mention are very similar, though I was thinking more fo 0:57. It reminds me of a bit of one of Beethoven's Symphonies, though I'm not sure which one.

It was a certain Friedrich Wilhelm Weiskern who wrote the libretto, a parody on Jean-Jacques Rousseau's little opera Le devin du village .
I wonder if everyone realizes that "Bastien und Bastienne" was written in 1768 when Mozart was only twelve years old, that is, about the same age as the three boys in this movie.
