For the first time since the 80's the Youngstown Air Reserve Station opened to the public for an Open House in September of 2008. After months of planning, the day dawned VERY wet, and nobody was sure how the event would come off. As you can see in the video, the rain didn't dissuade ANYONE, with more than 25,000 people showing up throughout the day. The video shows the line for just the largest of the planes, a transport with a tail that rose SEVEN STORIES above the ground! Open House sponsored by the Clear Channel Youngstown Radio Stations, including 95.9 KISS-FM, 570 WKBN, 106.1 WBBG, MIX 98.9, 93.3 The Wolf and 1390 WNIO with media partner TV-21.
