windows 7 is so much better than o.s, macs cost the earth for what they are, p.c`s are far more enjoyable, they do nearly everything

No, it's like a car with a nice paintjob, compared to an identical car with a different paintjob. The latter car is incredibly expensive, comes with a warranty that's worse, disabled features and is impossible to repair.

No doubt, but unless you did it yourself, you paid through the nose. RAM and Hard Drives continue to be Apple money-makers. Plus, you only have a limited space of expandability on a Mac to begin with, so the term "upgrading" is actually a half-point.

Actually, it's the other way around. If you check Apple's hardware configurations, they're all 2 years old. Apple sticks with mid-range components to minimize manufacturing costs. Try to max out a 12-Core Mac Pro. Even the Dell T7500 does it better with 192GB of max RAM as opposed to Apple's 64. I just built a mid-range rendering workstation for $1500. To duplicate the same config, I'd have to customize and shell out $4000 for the iMac. That's insanity.
