Bobby Charles - Alligator Stomp

Nice instrumental by Charles. I'm guessing he's on piano. Mac Rebbenac did some piano playing for Charles but I think at the time of this recording, Mac may still have been playing guitar. By the way, Mac (Dr. John) took up piano later on in his career because he got shot in the thumb and couldn't play the guitar anymore. So he took up the piano. Quick learner! That's why if you find old pics of him, he has a guitar.

nice video, mac got shot in the ring finer actually i think. Thats why in some videos of him, on his left hand, one of his fingers has a lump on it where they tried to re-construct it. Plus he got taught piano since he was a kid, but decided not to persue it as a careea as he felt that there were so many good piano players, that he wouldnt get a job, so did guitar. Apart from that, loved it :D

@notraep Thanks for the info and setting dat finger thing right! Also, I am glad to hear he just didn't pick up the piano out of nowhere and get dat good. Made me feel more moronic then I really am. (Now dat didn't come out right).

Don't think he (BC) could have been playing as he couldn't play an instrument. Great track tho'.
