In November 2006 Al Jazeera began broadcasting in English with a promise to balance the flow of information from South to North. Two years on we are looking at the state of the world through the eyes of children. How do opportunity, expectation and lifestyle differ from region to region, and country to country?

Here is a look at Grace Abercombie who lives in London with novelist Dad and TV editor Mum who is pregnant with their second child and has given up work.

  • omg! children portraits ?!?!? she's a pedophile!!!!

  • They express the English ways in a quite belligerent way. It is the ways English people see things and life in England, that they impose on other cultures. All this is obvious, since they are the former empire. In this world order they are still able to have their way in other people's business, mainly through their own global economic system.

  • Like what?

  • Al Jazeera is completely biased, and incompetent of giving impressions of other countries.

  • You have to admit Al Jazeera gives a far, far greater coverage to global issues than other stations.

  • 'flow of information from south to north' This is a ridiculous lie. There are plain English people running the channel who have no idea of the Southern countries. It is more like a southern representation for England
