Hector's Hectic Life (1948) A messy family dog is told by its owner that it will be thrown out in the cold, after three puppies show up on the doorstep, complicating the dog's life. For some reason, they look just like him! The owner, thinking the dog is responsible for the mess, finally discovers the puppies and all ends well. From the "Famous Studios". Music by Winston Sharples
A composer known for his work with animated short subjects, especially those created by the animation department at Paramount Pictures.

In his thirty-five-year career Sharples scored more than 700 cartoons for Paramount and Famous Studios. He originally composed cartoon scores for Van Beuren Studios from 1932 through 1936. In 1938, Sharples composed the music for the Max Fleischer full-length animated production of Gulliver's Travels Several of the songs from that production were used throughout subsequent years in Paramount shorts, with the most notable being "It's A Hap-Hap-Happy Day." In the late 1950s, Sharples teamed with Joe Oriolo for musical production on the Felix the Cat television series. That series made extensive use of stock music composed for the Paramount shorts as well as Sharples' distinctive theme song.

  • @XmasFLIX probly just lack of raw talent, seriously what the fuck happened to Bugs Bunny and the rest of the old cast i grew up watching the shenanigans of? they werent around on old Cartoon Network back hen it was actually GOOD for many more years after that horrible movie called Space Jam, as a kid i was ahardcore Bugs Bunnyy and Crew fan ,but even I hated Space Jam! guess unlike most people i knew growin up, i didnt get brainwashed by movie/TV Ads to make me instantly love stuff if it was bad

  • Interesting. I remember another cartoon similar to this about a cat with a missing ear. He let some kittens that looked like him into the house and the whole time was trying to keep them out of trouble.
