Here are some tips on how I make my videos. You can watch this and many other videos in High Quality mode and stereo sound. Just add &fmt=18 to the url and hit enter. This will play back the H264 mp4 version of the video encoded and stored by youtube when the video was uploaded.

Another way to get stereo sound on youtube is to encode your video yourself in flash format before you upload it. The video quality will not be as good as H264, but the stereo sound will play in the regular default video. I use a program called any-video-converter to do this. Here is a good video that will explain how to do it.

here we see once again: the good stuff need't be complicated.

I'll test how this wil work on a Mac (ie using built-in camera and external audio via audicity). if it does, I'll gladly share how I do it...

Years back when midi interfaces came out there was thins device called an Audio Anolog Digital Interface. My son would use this along with a software program on his Apple for in those years make some incredible effects and recordings. Are these conversion units still around and has the price droped for them do you know.

The option for HIGH QUALITY is now there on the bottom right of the player. I guess it takes awhile for it to appear on the vid (about an hour). Thanks though goldhat.

Hey goldhat. Great vid.

Could you please tell me if I can embed my URL on my own uploaded vid with the &fmt=18 added on so that people will not have to add it on thier browser. It looks and sounds so much better, I just wish it would pop up like that for people automatically without them having to put it in.
