How to Replace Spark Plugs in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee DIY

Spark plug replacement is due on this vehicle every 30,000 miles. If you do it yourself you can save money, and still maintain your factory warranty. Also due every 30K is transfer case drain and fill (if four wheel drive), oil & filter + tire rotation & brake inspection (due every 3,000). Plug gap spec is .040".

My 2005 Jeep seems to be "skipping" when I accelerate. Will replacing the spark plugs fix this?

@PaidToLeave Maybe. It could be anything from: plug(s), coil(s), injectors(s), wiring, internal engine issue, etc.

@roadragecustoms Just replaced the plugs. Everything seems to be great. Skip and check engine light are gone. Your video helped tremendously. How(or should I) clean the fuel injectors?

I have a question for you. My dads 05 grand cherokee devoloped a misfire today. he stopped at an auto parts store and scanned it. misfire on cyl #6. we replaced all the plugs. still same problem. replaced the coil on #6 and that fixed it. how do we get the check engine light to turn off?
