The St. Louis Blues select Marty Reasoner 14th overall in the 1996 NHL entry draft (in St. Louis, which is why he gets such a big cheer).

Sorry the commentators' sound is lousy on this, that's just how it was broadcast.

  • why did the fans like him so much?

  • Because the draft was in St. Louis. They would have cheered that loudly for anyone their team drafted.

  • They got Doug Weight out of it, they're probably okay with that.

  • Thanks for uploading these.

  • I'm glad someone likes them.

  • A bad pick but a player who will do anything. Block shots etc to win. Really a great penalty killer. I hope he wins a cup!

but marty reasoner is sooooooo good

    with any team

  • he was quite the bust unless he was drafted for a 4th liner with 8 goals a year but i really do like him though

  • 7 months later...lol. right! he plays with the thrashers now.
