Looking good for a first demo!
I shouldn't feed them but, everyone saying RIM copied this and that :
1. If you think any smartphone (heck, any technology) hasn't in someway copied an idea from somewhere else, you're ignorant.
2. If you're an apple fanboy and this upsets you in any way that's your own fault ; what are you doing here anyway?
3. This goes without saying : haters gonna hate

I don't see anything Iphone about it. It's much nicer than an Iphone. This DOES however look an awful lot like Meego. It would seem so since RIM is pushing for Qt... It would be a nice update to my N9 though, the change from Harmattan (which I do very much like) to pure Meego

It seems good, but the question is whether or not it will save them. as for "copying", the flowing through docs, mail, etc. looks a lot like Webos. however, does anyone know who first made a steering wheel? certain mechanisms are just the most intuitive/efficient way to practically manage tasks. Not sure why people on here connect their egos and identities to the electronics they choose to buy, even if you do, what's wrong with healthy competition and more options?

What this video is highlighting is UI. The underlying code isn't dramatically different than the OS that runs the tablets today, which have no issues like what you describe. In all reality, the existing BlackBerry handsets don't have those problems, either, provided you have the good sense to close out apps when you're done with them.
