@marcxopoco *feel all his fights were fixed. I don't think he's head and shoulders above the rest in the ring; Holmes would give him a tough night, and who knows what he'd do with someone as big AND talented as Lewis, plus anyone who'd make him come forward like Jones did and who could really counter would make it hard work for him, but in terms of his resume, he's the man, no question.
@marcxopoco They've told me, but I don't believe Clay-Liston 1 was fixed. 2 was definitely fishy. Even if you make the Jones and Young fights defeats, and exclude Liston, he STILL beat a better roster than any heavyweight who ever lived. If you take Ali's whole career and dismiss him as phony, you're actively trying not to see, unless you feel he was
@marcxopoco He beat the ghost of Ali. You don't have to believe Ali is the greatest, but to say he's a phony is to avoid the extraordinary range of people he beat.
@bobber0623 He fought one of the top three light heavies of all time in Mike Spinks, and the greatest cruiserweight and a serious serious heavy in Holy. That's quite a roster without all the good LH and Cruiser guys he beat.

Nobody ever told @Sammyboy72 the Liston-Clay fights were fixed.

@marcxopoco I think you could argue he lost to Young and Jones, not Cooper or Shavers, but he still beat more all time greats than anyone else.

@Sammyboy72 thinks Ali "beat" Doug Jones, Jimmy Young, Henry Cooper, Shavers.

It was pretty stupid of Spinks to stay on the ropes for so long, when clearly Qawi was getting the better of him the whole time.
