THE GREAT JUNIOR PARKER & JIMMY Mc GRIFF DID AN AWESOME VERSION OF THIS TUNE ON THEIR "WORKIN'" L.P. WE MET BUDDY HERE WHEN HE BURNED DOWN THE HOUSE, AND HE'S THE NICEST PERSON YOU'D EVER WANT TO MEET. ALOHA & MAHALO "BUDDY"
I've seen Buddy 10 or 12 times now. Best to catch him at a bar when he does that from time to time. I had the opportunity to see Junior Wells as well, about six months before he passed away. Buddy is one of the premier guitarists today. When he is 'on' there is none better.
Hey JE, Do see him, I think Buddy is about 70 now. One of the last remaining true Bluesmen of a special era. I had tickets to see John Lee Hooker. He passed away before being able to do the concert. Buddy comes through Toronto and Hamilton, plus some other close by venues, every spring. I have seen him 12 time now. Keep a look out for Savoy Brown too, they are long overdue to come through Southern Ontario.
