His user name is stevewt, and you may have to search "Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles" for his blog. YouTube won't let me post the direct link, but the convention for finding it is marmvmystery dot wordpress dot see-oh-em.

My brother had a similar experience to yours and was incensed enough to want to spread the word, too. He just finished a targeted blog on wordpress called "marmvmystery" and we have a website coming, too. He really wants to get this practice changed back to the way it was, or at least make electronic license reminders an opt-in & mailed reminders the norm. He's got a letter to the governor, etc, posted on the blog. Check it out, link to it anywhere possible, & good luck!

Would you normally have faith in the postal service if they did send the reminder? Sadly in the UK such faith would not be justified.

I may be a cynic, but I also wonder if the government organization really cares about the ecology, or if it's just a way to try and save money.

it is a convenient way for them to save money, and make money at the same time by those who might be a bit forgetful or whathaveyou, and it's totally fair to be cynical... i think i am.
