  • @virtualannie There are how many staples stores? How many techs does each store have? So instead of hiring techs you get more red shirt people who don't know their head from a hole in the ground. In other words more dissatisfied staples customers leading to more dissatisfied staples employees. I've been inside and thank god got out of that box. It's a broken company that puts more pressure on it's associates than any company I've seen. Work at Mcdonald's if you want a better job. (seriously)

  • @LawllitaPop we are people not machines! Thanks!

  • @jmoenylove This is Canadian not American! We actually are making jobs because of this service. 31 people have been hired long term in the last 2 years, as well as, create technology jobs to create the kiosks. So far this program is now in almost 200 stores across Canada! We also are generating more revenue for Staples to hire more people....try to think outside the box. There is a reason why the Canadian economy is doing better then the American one and more jobs have been created in Canada.

  • Sweet we can outsource and lose more american jobs... I wonder why our economy sucks?

  • I am a video Agent!

We have alot of people who love the service. Even those whom were once wary of it.

It cuts down mistakes, production times paperwork, we save files for years instead of months and helps the associates in the copy centre by giving them more time to complete faster turn around on copy jobs and customer service.

Staples is a great company to work for and always looks to find new and inventive ways to help their customers!!!

  • it didn't work out, the idea is great but 90% of those customers that need help is actually because they are not good with technology, so many didn't know where to click, how to operate...and it was more of a waste of time for us to spend time coaching customers that we always ended up helping in store.

  • OH SNAP,

That machine could replace me :S

    Not a happy feeling

  • well...we all knew we were going to be replaced by corporate robots someday....looks like they started in Canada.

  • i work for staples and my store has the video agent
