I waiting Death Rally 2 since '96 but Remedy have left a new version only for iPhone and iPad :(. However, Remedy offers a this original Death Rally for free; reworked for XP, Vista and Seven; Have fun ^^

I don't think he cheated. When I play I usually go to middle races with the vagabond on hardest difficulty. even if you get third you get more money than if you win on the first races. It's even better though if you win, like I did :P
0% damage and everyone killed, earns some good starting money xD
