I actually saw Linda Lavin in 1989 perform in Gypsy, and I was very impressed. i liked how she played Rose as someone very repressed by her time period - very prim and proper - but let's it all loose for Rose's Turn. I've never seen another portrayal of Rose like this, and I think it really works.

  • Thanks so much for posting these. I think she's pretty good. I like her giggles during the song. The first part of the song is supposed to be fun and you can tell that she's having a great time. If only someone had video of her in the role.
