  • OMG, while you were cutting through that aluminum base, I was just waiting for that razor blade to skip out and slide into your thumb. Don't cut toward yourself dude. :)

    To keep the glass envelope whole, I've always clipped off the base connection, and then just broken the glass insulator at the base and pulled out the broken pieces before compromising the vacuum around the base.

    With your technique, it seems that it would be easier to just break the bulb, and go from there.

  • This dude really likes to cut on or twords his fingers how many time you cut yourself so far?
