Incredible war museum on wheels begins its tour of America

The redesigned The Wall That Heals, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Funds (VVMF) traveling exhibit, was unveiled on March 26, 2009, in Washington, D.C. with its tour across the U.S. launching on April 2. The Wall That Heals is a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and mobile museum that is housed within a Featherlite trailer. The 45-ft. Featherlite trailer features new exhibits designed by Ralph Appelbaum Associates of New York City.

Before embarking on its journey to the unveiling ceremony, Daniel Schenk, Program Manager for The Wall That Heals, described the importance of the traveling exhibit and the transformation process completed by Featherlite.
