@OpinionatedJerk I personally hate the new vampire trend (especially twilight) but I read the book and it was actually really damn good. It had enough real history in it to keep me interested, and was written so well that the story actually seemed plausible (if vampires were real). This video obviously isn't the trailer for the actual movie, seeing as it came out 2 years ago, so check out the real one. It's directed by Timur Bekmambetov and produced by Time Burton.

This younger generation has really overdone it now with their obsession with vampires. When historians look back on this era's fads they're going to talk about this vampire obsession and how they took it so far that they started making movies with concepts as ridiculous as this. This here is the tipping point that all fads eventually reach when ridiculous concepts start coming out while corporate America starts exploiting it and teens no longer consider it "in" and move on to the next fad.
