things to enjoy while listening:
1. groovy bassline on the first beat. The original Verbal Jint song 1219 Epiphany has two main beats, and in this blend I alternate between the two. I like the one with the bassline better, and used it when Akrobatik spits (verse 2). I really put in the effort to make the transitions between the two beats to sound as natural as possible, and I like how it turned out.

2. The occasional organ sound used in the second beat (one that Big Pooh and Phonte spits on) is really one of the best sounds I've heard in a long time. In the original VJ beat this sound was underused, and I always wanted to hear more. So here I have 2 full verses! with that sound being used quite frequently to satiate my thirst for more.

3. All three rappers are stellar on this song. I really hadn't listened to the original song with the 9th Wonder beat because the beat wasn't all that. However, after I made this blend I fell in love with the lyrics and started paying attention to what the rappers were saying. From Big Pooh's commentary on the rap game to Ak's humble yet confident reflection of himself as a rapper and Phonte's wishes for people to open their ears, I really came to appreciate their skills and content. But I gotta say, Phonte kills it, really.

well, that's pretty much all i wanted to say on this joint. this has become my favorite blend over all my other blends, so i hope you enjoy!

Anybody know what he means when he says "veil my brim before him." I think it might have to do with the whole fish business (brim = fish) and hiding his skills (veil). But what does he mean by "before him"?
