i had a 79 Cordoba :/ i had one of the baddest ass Cordoba! All flat black tubbed out cammed and cut outs DAMMIT... i want it back now!

What color is this 'doba being painted? Looks like forest green sunfire metallic.

that paintjob did realllly well for a garage paintjob.. some ppl on youtube painted caddys and so much arange peel wasent funny.. sad... you did welll..i did the bodywork n blocking n priming on my fifth ave and my old boss painted it in his old bodyshop original navy blue with chrome pinstripes n body side moulding and all the trim polished with FLITZ n back on next is head liner and side panels

@tetedemarc Thanks for your reply! I just realized your screen name translates to 'Head of Marc'. Neat! If the song is from '81, then the Cordoba Wally Pleasant is singing about wasn't even ten years old, and already rusting? Wow!
Anyway, it's a really elegant design (particularly before the stripes went on). Funny song. I may make this my lead video in a day or so. Have to find just the right background....

I had a 79 Cordoba, which was better than the 77, except for the fact of the car stalling if you had to brake suddenly. The headlight/parking lights were sexier on the 77 model, too bad they were dumped, thought the lights on the 79 were kinda dorky looking.

@vexacon Lots of time the stalling was related to a poor tune up,but at some point I found that wear in transmission would keep lock-up engaged and car would stall on a suddent stop (feeling like a standard trans car that you don't press clutch) Also related to sudden stall shifting in reverse. The headlights looked a bit like the Monte Carlo of 77 generation.
