Pointe Practice

This is what they make us practice before we get onto pointe at our studio... IM REALLY SORRY YOU CAN ONLY SEE ONE FOOT!!! These box type things are made out of a bendy rubber, as you can see i have ruined mine already! I realli want to be on pointe but they dont think im strong enough, i have been taking Ballet since i was 3. PLEASE constructive critisism!!!

I don't think she should be doing this either but i also don't think she needs to be on real pointe shoes until she knows how or a pro dance teacher says she can.

Dont worry so much about getting up and staying up u have that covered worry more about lifting ur heels and arches

i hope u know those are extremely dangerous.. and that if you continue using those horrible tools that u can damage your foot then kiss your pointe dreams goodbye.. put them down and never pick those up again n tell whom ever gave those to you that they are extremely dangerous ! you are talented .. very talented don't risk losing your dreams :D

are you kidding me! That is so amazing dangerous! get some pre-pointe shoes and practice the demi work in those or be fitted for real pointe shoes and do some basic barre work with them. Do some research for yourself before the teacher has you hurt yourself. My favorite source for information is Finis Jhung, he's very informative and ask other teachers. Yours is going to hurt you this way!

Omg if a teacher has told you to do this she should be FIRED. this is dangerous not only for your feet and ankles but for your back. You are going on to point with no actual support.. YOU CRAZY PEOPLE! get some point shoes.. or dont do point work at all! silly girl.

@THEUNKNOWNCHICS The only place where Latin is still officially used is Vatican City, which is actually its own state within another. The Pope reads the bible in Latin.
