  • ATTENTION SCREENWRITERS! The special discount offer with this youtube code is ending soon. I only have a few slots, so contact me ASAP if you are looking for notes, coaching or a private course to write that new screenplay. My url is at the end of the video or you can click on my channel name at the top right: "ActFourScreenplays."

  • MORE VIDEOS COMING SOON! My apologies for being gone; I've been so busy with coaching writers that I haven't had a chance to actually film the many great ideas I have on tap. Stay tuned -- subscribe so you don't miss 'em!

  • yeah, never save on the Title page in FD - it will overwrite your whole script with just the title page

  • I think it only saves the Title page as its own file, doesn't write over the entire script.

  • A tip for Final Draft 8.0 for the pc: Create a pdf by going to FILE>PRINT>"Print to PDF" rather than from the Save As... menu in the previous version.

On Mac OS X, select Save as PDF from the PDF popup button.

  • What would you suggest as the best screenwriting program on the market?

  • Final Draft has just released 8.0! It's great, I highly recommend it as I've used it for years and it's got the best versatility and functions of the handful of programs out there. (and no, I'm NOT being paid to say that. :-))

  • @ActFourScreenplays. does your screenplay need to be 100s of pages long, considering the fact that it is just a basic plot?

  • Do these tips work for Chapter Bok formatting as well?

  • Is Microsoft Office Word okay for writing a screenplay

  • This is pretty good. Good job man!

  • your face kind of reminds me of mac gyver lol

  • that was poop.

  • I LOVE THE START!

"ahh no you didn't, talented screen writer"

    then..BAM srs face

  • I had the experience in FD6 - fortunately, I had printed the script to PDF - realized I'd gotten the cover page, created it, saved it - and when I went back to the script, it was gone with only the title page there.

I was able to open the PDF, save as RTF, and then import the RTF back into FD - but it was a tense few minutes
