Yes but it is of Vedic origin when it was called 'shata-tantri'. It became an Iranian instrument later where it is called 'santur'. Now in India, it is called 'santoor'. :) Ever heard why it is called 'Santoor'? :)

@Ichsans Sounds like Megh (which is also know as Megh Malhar). I could be wrong. I don't know much about Raags. Thanks for the observation. :)
