I heard this song for the first time when I was 27. I'm 59 now and "still got it all to do". To me, it doesn't matter what one's chonological age is. Our life's expectations vary from one person to another. What one person thinks is important, another blows off. I used to get sad listening to this song. But one must put that aside and do the best with what is left. Some have more left than others. But regardless, do the best with what you have.

@randee99 The attitude is fear,its origin, a society that crushes dreams in everything we do and in every way they can.How many times have you heard the phrase "be realistic",or you need to be more practical.Argue for your limitations,they become your limitations, I believe is the saying.And there's much more, from what we teach is important in schools, to thinking that the arts and music are not essential subjects.To much to get into here.But it's great that you question,never stop questioning.

I first heard "Day After Day" with my girlfriend, Mary Ann, at a Laserium show in 1978 at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. We were 12 years old. The song kinda blew us away. So when we discovered I Robot at our local Licorice Pizza record store, I forked over all my money to buy a copy of it for her so we could share it. Sharing it meant that I had to ride my bike up 17 miles of hills to her house so I could listen to it. I eventually bought my own copy. I still have it.
