In the spirit of new beginnings, I thought this song would be an ideal choice. In 2006, at age 74, Marla (best known as "Florence" from 'The Jeffersons' and "Mary" from '227') released her very first CD, 'It's Never Too Late!' produced by the legendary H.B. Barnum - who's arranged for everyone from Aretha Franklin to Frank Sinatra to Count Basie. Marla wrote this song, which is one of the jazz tunes on this fine CD that also dabbles in neo-soul and spoken word!

Retro, you always seem to find the great stuff! This sounds great! I could listen to this around the house or in the car. I wonder if I can pick it up someplace.

Glad you can appreciate it! It's not the usual style I listen to, but when I found out about it, had to support my girl Marla because she's such an awesome, positive person! And this is a generalization -- but vocally, she sounds great for her age!
