*After everyone left the room, the nurse examined Demi. She was in the early stages of her labour, therefore the nurse informed her that it could be hours before it was time to have them come out. She double checked with the Doctor, who only said the same thing. She was told to rest in the meantime. All the while, everyone was attempting to reach Joe, with no luck. They all called him, texted him, and even left him messages, but no one was able to get a hold of him. Selena finally decided that she wasnt about to let Joe have Demi give birth alone, so she left for home in search of him. Mitchell: Is she okay?
Nick: (Stands up) What the hell are you doing here?
David: (Stands up next to Nick) You really shouldnt be here man.
Miley: Guys, calm down, I called him earlier. I thought he should know.
Nick: And why is that exactly?
Miley: Because theyre friends and they care about each other. Just like all of us.
David: (Shaking his head) After everything you really think being here is a good idea?
Mitchell: Look, I just wanted to make sure she was okay. Just like Miley said, were friends and I care about her well being.
Miley: Shes going to be okay, Mitch, but her water broke just a little bit ago.
Mitchell: Why isnt Joe with her?
Nick: We dont know where he is.
Miley: Wait a minute, do you?
David: How do you know that hes not?
Mitchell: Because I saw him at the liquor store about an hour ago.
Nick: (Eyes widen) What?
Mitchell: Yeah. We didnt really run into each other, but trust me, Ill never forget the face that a girl I love is in love with.
David: A girl you love?
Mitchell: (Shakes his head) Does he not know that shes here? That you found her?
Nick: No, he doesnt. Hes not answering his phone or any messages we send him.
Mitchell: What room is Demi in?
David: Youre not going to see her.
Miley: Shes in room 302.
David: (Looks at Miley)
Miley: (Looks back at David then at Mitchell and nods)
Mitchell: Thanks Mi (Walks out of the waiting room and heads for room 302)
Nick: Why did you do that?
David: I cant believe you Miley.
Miley: Look, Demi needs someone with her. He cares for her almost as much as Joe. And based on the circumstances, I think he has a right to be with her. She might hate us for it right now, but I really think that shell appreciate having him there. It doesnt exactly look like Joe is going to be showing up anytime soon.
David: You know--
Nick: (Sighs) I think shes right, Dave. Demi needs someone there, and other than Joe, hes the only one thats been there for her the most. From what I know, anyways.
David: Fine, whatever. But this is going to turn out nasty, and when it does, Im not taking the fall.
Miley: (Smiles and kisses him) I love you Dave.
David: Love you too.
Nick: (Sits back down and rests his head on the wall, waiting for news)
