This is a video of a Full MAC exhaust with Pictures.

First Video is with No Cats ( Sorry i didnt run the RMP Range )
Second Video is with the OEM Cats ( YES i did run the RPM Range )

The original exhaust was removed from the car including manifolds, A set of short MAC headers 1 5/8" were installed, with a 2 1/2" Off Road H-Pipe to full 2 1/2" Mac rear exhaust with chrome rears, the problem was that it was just to dirty loud around the 3000 RPM mark so the Stang went back on the hoist,

The Stang no longer has the Off-Road H-Pipe but now breathes through the Original, YES the original OEM CATS, the back of the Cat down-pipe was cut as you see in the picture and custom bent piping was added to allow it flow back into a custom H-Pipe to the MAC rear exhaust.

Now as you can see by the crazy water that spits out the tail pipes things are working great for emissions check ! the Stang still has a nice low Tone and i think has a nice sound when you step on it. overall im now happy with the way a V-6 Stang should sound.

but make sure to upgrade your ignition, this set up allows you to open up your plug gaps to .065 with better performance... this video is hiding noting,

FYI the best place to get your ignition items is from a Reputable Guy ( Pat ) at www.PatriotPerformanceUSA.com

  • the bumper was a direct fit, i just made sure it was from the same year pack as mine.. 99-04, i pulled off the old one and the new one fit right on, all the mount holes are the same, i just had it factory sprayed to match the factory colour..

yep im in the same boat as you i HATE the exhaust under the bumper...

  • Job, i had the same problem as you, i must have watched 1434340 Videos on You-Tube ! lol the reason i did this video is so that you can hear the difference between Off-Road and with OEM Cats i must say that im very impressed with the sound now with the Cats back on,

  • Yes I'll do a fly by, I'm just in the middle of an upgrade and checking a few things before winter sets in. I have a garage but it's not drywalled or heated so I have to get this stuff done now ! I'm guessing the total cost with exhaust shop time x2 ignition bumper paint and booth is in the mark of $700 ish

Merry Christmas to all ! I'll post up soon,

FYI YouTube had a problem with my account and I had to make a new account I'll repost the vids under my new account in the future so be sure t

  • can you do a fly by with thqat exhaust with the cats on

  • how much did u spend over all?

  • how easy did that gt bumper fit onto it? Looks great with the dual exhaust on a v6, i dont like when theyre ran under the stock bumper

  • i have an 2004 v6 with a flowmaster 2 catback system sounds good but not loud enough,i ordered a custom high flow x pipe which i'm not going to install because i don't like the placement of the cats and they only gave me two mounting points for 02 sensors my car requires four,i just ordered a pace setter h pipe which i have to custom fit to my factory set up and using full boar chambered muffler hope to achieve similar sound to your mustang.

  • good video. when i bought my 03 v6 it had headers, o/r x-pipe, and mac cat back. it was nice and loud but just to raspy at high rpms. i put high flow cats on it and it sounds perfect now. still loud when i want it to be, and no more ricer noise.

  • great sound i have a 96 v6 and tryna figure out the best set up to get that sound...
