@mattieface123 wheelies are not especially good for any standard v-twin. for the exact reasons you stated. it's up to you whether the bike is expendable or not. sv's are fun bikes. fun doesn't always have to do with stunting, but if you wanna stunt, look at an older inline 4. It'll take the abuse a little better than a v-twin will, and it'll last you longer.... provided you don't flip it over at 85mph on a freeway like a squid.

@mattieface123 short wheelies under acceleration are fine. just dont stand i up for any real distance. i did some searching a few years ago on svrider.com, one guy rode a wheelie for less than a mile and cooked his front cylinder, so i dont take any chances, they just arent ment to be kept at the balance point

@mahifish there are 6 billion people on this planet and everyone likes other things. Some like riding a chopper, others like racing and maybe someone else likes stunting. There is also no real point in riding a bike at all. Riding a bike is fun. That´s it. You really need to tolerate other people and other bikes. A SV is not made for a race track, but it´s a great bike to ride. So there is no need of insulting SV Riders at all... Be happy with your R1 and don´t boast. Thanks

@mahifish : Wow u bought an R1, that must have been hard to do lol. Give credit where credits due. This guys just started riding 2 months ago and i reckon this is quality for someone whos just starting. And what are u doin lookin up stunt riding if u think its all "gay shit" lol. Try typing "pansy wheelies" if your after what your talkin about lol. Anyone can get a r1 or similar powered bike to stand... just twist the throttle ya dead shit lol
So..I've got a first gen. SV as well, and I've heard a TON of bad things about wheelies and first gen SV's...I've heard they have a giant oil starvation problem to the front cylinder when you wheelie them, and the engine will get screwed up really fast...can someone enlighten me please? I love wheelies, but I'm way scared its going to screw up the bike I have..

@mattieface123
Das ist richtig. Der vordere Zylinder bekomt zu wenig oel und läuft trocken. Kurze wheelies gehen, aber zu lang auf dem Hiinterrad fahren ist für den Motor tödlich.

@Druffi01

@mattieface123

just ride the damn thing do, no need to jump on the seat or do those other gay things. Maybe get a nice bike too?

@mahifish:
Yes your neon ist the hammer, hammer shit.
Do something like that, it is not so easy! Not with a SV 650.
hold even when no idea, then eat.
