Slate has a history of Mahna Mahna by Sam Adams published in November 2011 . Go to Slate and search for Mahna Mahna. The article is called "How a ditty from a soft-core Italian movie became the Muppets’ catchiest tune."

Classic!!! I remember this ditty like it was yesterday, and can still sing the whole thing perfectly from memory. LOVED the Muppets!!!

Individualism vs conformity. We all love it. We all recognize both desires in ourselves, in harmony with others, (the two pink puppets) at the same time the (jazz) element, individualism, the lone puppet. We love to break the form, the spirit of childhood at play. What is amazing to me, aside from this example of really fine puppetry, is how the Mahna Mahna song supports this little funny play.

@geofflondon That's exactly where I got this link from! Jim Henson has already been known to put things in the show that kids don't get, or may not be exactly suitable for children, but certainly suitable for tv, but later on it seems all kids see the muppet show, and it became more of a family thing. Probably there are a lot of muppet things that have dirty little secrets such as this. I wasn't surprised in the least to find that there was a secret. Makes it all the more interesting to me.
