The problem with Cannondale is it is no longer the same company it used to be. They were bought out in 2003 and are now owned by corporate giants whose bottom line now is dollar profit. Their bikes aren't even handmade in the USA anymore. Cannondale has gone downhill and not in a fun good way either.

@theagk19781 The look of the C. Flash 3 2012 really speaks to me, since I love white and green in combination! Love the look the bike gets by the fatty fork too! But i really have to consider buying this, since I'm thinking of buying a Scott spark 70...
Thank you for your good respons and may be a good idea to contact cannondale themselves, to get another (probably more of a partial) view.

@petsoon93 I have a trail SL 1 with a standard Headshock Fatty, I use the bike nearly every day for road and off road, So far I've had no problems, and the lock out is fully working. This is my second hardtail from cannondale and it fits like a glove, I can highly recomend getting one.
This guy seriosuly doesn't know what he's talking about regarding the lock out. He is saying how the rockshox etc when they are locked out still compress a little bit. Well Mr, this was designed that way! It's called blow off. If you have it locked out and hit a rock for example, the suspension will compress and take the load off the inside components and the jarring of the rider. You shouldn't be riding down a trail locked out anyway; especially when you don't have the blow off feature.

@p3x197 I never ride downhill locked out and don't On level trails, I pretty much never lock out the fork. I ride locked out on paved and dirt road climbs only. I even unlock for paved and dirt road downhills. But - I hate shocks that don't lock out 100% while standing and climbing up roads. It drives me nuts. I don't need any blow off especially on road climbs. Sorry.

@petsoon93 2008 and earlier, but shocks bought in 2010 failed in 2011. i'd stay away from headshocks at all cost. i got a specialized epic expert which is no where near as light being full suspension and all but has front and rear brain shocks which work great so far. i had a taurine frame seperate at the rear axle - cannondale replaced it with a flash frame - very very light. i built it up as a rigid bike for dirt roads though.

@bradtube1 lefty's are supposed to be quite reliable - but i don't like that you have to lean a little to ride them no-handed.

@petsoon93 I wouldn't buy anything with a headshock - Cannondale definitely has not fixed that problem. One brand new one in 2010 quit working in 2011 so ... doubt they've done anything to fix them since they haven't done anything to fix them in the last 5-6 years.
