This is the annual Strawberry Social here in our good old community of Harl held annually for the Historical Society, which is the 23rd annual event of this kind. I'd like to thank Abby for taping this for me! Also Thanks to Bobby V. (88 fingers) on piano, Johnny on twin fiddle with me, and his son Jonathan on guitar. Johnny was a former champion fiddler.

Jonathan is quite the accomplished musician too and has a band. Bobby V. has played along with the best of them and he is a veteran musician who is part of a group called the "Rhythmere's." I appreciate when Bobby comes along with me playing here and there. We call ourselves the "Cornshuckers Olde Tyme Orchestra."

  • Thanks Sharon, I am so honoured to have you check out my video here. I guess we never know who might stop by! This is one of my favourite waltzes and I actually did a solo version of this song on a separate video also on my channel if you'd like to check it out too. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and stop by here anytime.

  • @Burfordfiddler1962 Billy (Redd's youngest son) & I are constantly amazed at how this song keeps getting bigger & bigger. Redd & Pee Wee King wrote this song back in the late 40's, and it still lives on! If you get a chance you may want to visit Redd's tribute site to learn more about him! Happy Holidays to you all there!

  • Loved it. Thank you.
