plucking, is that not caused by lack of social interactions with other birds? That is a probable cause, but im no expert. Nice bird.

lol my bird does this when i wear nail polish lol he hates it. He also hates banana peels so when I am around him I have to unpeel the whole banana first or he goes nuts.

my bird plucks her feathers to i guess its a parrotlet thing. and my little boy acts the same way when he sees me i love parrotlets!

is that common in parraletts? cuz i was thinkin bout gettin one. i have 2 tiel s and a parakeet. never any have plucked. ive been lucky. ive had bird s for yrs.

Up to 1/3 of all captive parrots pluck.
I`ve read that some other parrotlets pluck.
It is quite disturbing watching my bird do that. I have spent hundreds of dollars at the vet trying to diagnos his problem.
Is that crazy; "hundreds of dollars" for a bird that weighs only 28grams?! oh what love will do.
