Homeless By Choice Pt. 1

This is the final project, by Sean Moffitt '10, Kendra Cole '10 and Alex Babbitt '11 for the class Filming Appalachia: Documentaries, Film-making & Feature Films in the Southern Mountains. After studying documentary making and Appalachian documentaries, student groups shot and produced documentaries. Among two others in the class, this documentary, "Homeless By Choice," was made over the course of the semester under the guidance of Dr. Jeff Keith. "Homeless By Choice" explores what was learned by people by going homeless and why they chose to be homeless.

Is that the western carolina rescue mission in Asheville? I've eaten there. I'm homeless by choice as well. I camped in Asheville for several weeks, there are a lot of homeless by choice people camping in Asheville. What a great city!

@davidallany1 hmm wierd how first guys story ended when he was waiting for god to tell him where to go.. i suspect hes still waiting for that answer :3, no dissing the homeless part, but the religious part i has minor issues whit :D

@davidallany1 I'm happy to see someone understand that our society is enslavement, you work to make your boss money. Even if you're your own boss you're still paying taxes. It's true there is no such thing as homeless, if your home is within you.

@Minan3 this happens to me everytime i get a job im not good with people but i dont talk more than i need to and i do my job but its still not enough at this point being able to travel like that would be alot better than what society pressures people to do

@davidallany1 ohh thankyou, I've kept this exact thought in my mind ("the whole earth is our home") for so long now and whenever I mentioned it it's like everyone verbally rugby tackled me from all directions. If I don't make it in the system I'm not going to end it in the bathroom I'm going pack what I need and throw myself out there. Thanks again.
