  • Don't mean to rain on your parade but I had to explain modes to my students and it's the hardest concept for them to grasp. You're playing everything in C - you should explain that.

E - phrygian..... phrygian means we're using the 3rd degree of the scale and E is this 3rd degree, E is the 3rd of the key of C so we're playing from E to E in the key of C.Another example;C dorian...dorian is the 2nd degree, C is the second degree of the key of Bb, so we play C to C in the key of Bb.

    Hey presto!

  • rofl, I love how you drifted off into fantasy as the video cut out. Really nice playing!

  • Hey Im asking again, Can someone give me the name of the melody?

  • Hello, Congratulations on your video tutorials. To learn are simple and practical, it would be possible for you to do a video of the seven modes together and improvisation techniques in Spanish. Thanks anyway. To watch for new videos.

  • @Strayv1989 if you want to get your point across and seem like youre taking the higher lever, then maybe you should learn to spell first. Valid point

  • @linclinc5 why so technical? its music, enjoy it!

  • i never realized this shit was so epic!!!

  • @daftweebrush Real mature... Because my spelling makes my point any less true, of course.

  • @daftweebrush Real mature.

  • @Strayv1989 "embaresin"??!! Man thats ironic :D

  • @daftweebrush You should probably brush up on your facts The Modes came from subgroups (Tribes Etc) In Greece and surrounding influences. Not a french monk. So yeah. Don't be so quick to act like a big man. You might end up embaresin yourself :) Gregory was realy a pope who decided to incorporate already used MODES into chants etc.... So yeah.....
