Chicago Transit Authority's hired security personnel don't like being videotaped. I wonder what they have to hide. I tried to videotape them while they harassed a young African American woman. She complained that they had no reason to detain her and that she had already been searched. They allegedly damaged her bag. Once my camera was rolling, they were no longer interested in her, but instead turned their attention to me. By the end of the encounter one of these rent-a-cops characterized my activity as "terrorist." He certainly doesn't get it.

This is just what the neo-cons want. They want people scared. But so scared that we can't think straight? Exactly. Even so-called professional security personnel don't know if they are coming or going. Everyone's buying into letting the government abuse our Constitutional rights in the name of defeating terrorism. Even trying to simply observe these buffoons handle a search in a public place elicits a reaction that labels the observer a terrorist. Amazing.
