God makes it clear in the Tanakh, that if Jews are douchebags, he becomes TWICE as pissed off, as if a gentile, were committing the same thing (treating another person cruelly).

One of the most disturbing things I find about westerners who claim to believe in God, is how they are more concerned with doctrine, than they are about how they treat other people.
That is VERY disturbing to me, as a person.
I find it even more disturbing how religious Jews say "God's chosen people... I will bless those who bless thee, and curse those who curse thee..." but neglect the "if you keep my covenants, and do not do wickedness" parts.

you forsake your soul, by worshipping something other than God.
Please let that statement sink in for a minute.
now I may be "blaspheming" by saying this but being blessed with a strong body, and maliciously bullying other people, being blessed with wealth, and creating horrific conditions sweat shops and harming thousands of people, causing someone emotional problems they will have to deal with for the rest of their lives, I would call THAT "forsaking my soul" where God was concerned.
