And also Rauros and Fennmark which are Røros and Finnmark. All of those are pronounced in the same way, only that the LotR words are made more english-like. :D
Also Shire is translated to other scandinavian languages as the word Fylke, wich in Norwegian means "province". :P
And then also Sauron in Norwegian means Filth.
Also Moria comes from an old norwegian fairytale. :P

You might be right about that, but I did not mention any latin language only germanic ones. :)
Still I think it's pretty funny. :P
Also if you take the movie Lord of the Rings, many places in the story is based on Norwegian provinces and cities names. Like Eastfold and Westfold which is two Norwegian provinces as in their correct spelling Østfold and Vestfold. :P
