MWC Women's Soccer: New Mexico's Elizabeth Lambert vs BYU

All I know is my daughter thankfully didn't get caught for punching someone after being elbowed repeatedly in a playoff game (she's only 12)...and I just wonder, what will this kind of media hype do for her? Make her want to fight more or make her a timid player (which I DON'T want) for fear of getting in trouble.  I'm just not sure it should have received the media attention that it got.

The BYU players got what they deserved just because they let Lambert do it to them. None of them stood up for themselves and fought back. I would like to date Elizabeth Lambert.

I played soccer and this happens all the time. I've been knocked down, kicked, cuaght balls with my face and between the legs. The white team is playing dirty, the red team responded. Elizabeth was probably getting targeted, and she lost her head with the hair pull. The ref has to make a call whether or not something was malicious - I've missed stopping the ball and ended up tripping many people. This was just a dirty game, she blew up more visibly.

Brilliant. Yeah she's dirty but that is passion. She is playing for her shirt. I wish the English men's National squad would play with the heart she's go. And she's sexy.

Amazing...did anyone notice #7 elbowing her? does anybody give consideration as to how the media likes to extenuate the truth to make a sale? If her hits were that devastating, #7 would not have gotten up from that kick and chop. Ok, she was rough, but the bottom line is how Good morning America never showed the elbow. Ms. Lambert is neither a hero nor a villain.

You're a retard. Retaliation is the key here. She not only retaliated, but did so in an incredibly heinious way. You cannot scapegoat actions like this simply because some other girl elbowed her.
