Throwing a clay salt jar keeper or as it's known a Salt Pig on the wheel.
Don't know why it's called a salt pig though.
This is a bit of a tricky pot to make as you need to throw an enclosed pot and a mouth then stick the two together.
These keep salt dry,and stop it sticking together even in damp weather and I don't know why this is,maybe the design with the big mouth opening, but they really do work.
Anyway here's my take on the salt pig.
I'm interested in the bats as well could you tell us what they are made off.
thanks

I had to google a salt pig, because I had never heard of them before. Or at least I have, but I've never heard them being called that before. Ha, they're so cute! Very nice vid!

What are you using for bats, are they home made. Also you must relocate the mic as the motor sounds are drowning out your voice

I love those things. Wish I had the skill to throw one!
Do you glaze the inside or is it better to leave it unglazed?

Scottish definition of "pig" is a jar or pot made of earthenware. In this case it holds salt..

Is this the same video camera from before the summer?
Because this new camera looks perfect.
The sound is balanced perfectly between you and the wheel(maybe a little much on the wheel), and the picture quality is great,
