My God she was beautuful, sexy, in the 60's and 70's. To me she was the "Queen of Folk", and that voice,.....So powerful and melodic, the way she moved to the beat of all the songs, She was the Perfect fit for Noel and Peter...I loved her a lot and miss her as do so many.... What a spirit of beauty and great courage... So Long My Love, Ill see you soon

My uncle had the SAME procedure & although I give thanks for new technology, he also died the SAME way....truly heartbreaking. My Uncle died within a few months. I really thought Mary had true success coming her way as it was years before she succombed to Chemo. My uncle just couldn't eat after all the Chemo, hence his body couldn't fight with no nutrition. I don't understand why didn't BEAT it, I just wish I knew more of what the Chemo did to her demise. Maybe technology isn't ready 4 us.

If we can have the love, courage, and drive to work for love, peace, justice, and kindness as she and Peter & Paul have done then we will have honored her memory and all that she had believed and worked for. Let us remember that humanity as well as you matter.

No need to beat yourself up She was a woman of integrity ( a true artist!) she didn't want everyone "to know" her private condition that was for her and her nearest and dearest to know (and you and me to find out ..too late )
ps
such is life !

Patty. Oh yeah, she had an awesome sense of humour. I've never been to a concert but the concert footage I've seen showed evidence. "People used used to ask me, 'which one are you married to?' And I'd say 'neither, or it wouldn't have lasted this long.. They'd say 'no no. Which one?' You'd think I'd know!"

@ZEITGEISTism I wish I knew at the time. I didn't know. I just didn't know. I learned the day she died.
Thank you so much for posting this.
