Kandovan is a small village located just 50km from Tabriz at the base of 3707m Mount Sahandkuh. The "Cappadocia-style" houses cut in the smooth rock look like some fairy-tale village from the books. It's a charming village and one never gets tired of looking at the chimney houses.

  • Iran is the most beautiful and the most interesting country of the world. So a lot of interesting sites are in Iran !!!

Therefore, it is SO pitty that the current political situation between Iran and the west avoids a lot of potential western tourists to Iran. But I hope that the political situation towards the west will be improved, and then I'm sure that Iran will become the most visited country of the world !!!

  • that was fucking nice...you know those houses in Candovan are carved in to the mountain. some belt in the 13 century. i saw it on national geographic chanell.

  • Kandovan's rocky house no need air conditioner, and 700 years old. it's very ecological house.
